PV PACT Center

The PACT center focuses on developing a fair and level playing field for emerging PV industry by:

  • Developing, testing and validating characterization protocols that can quantify module performance and accurately measure power loss and degradation.
  • Developing accelerated testing protocols that can predict and identify early failures (5-10 years) and degradation rates.
  • Monitoring outdoor performance from fielded prototype mini-modules (< 1m2) and developing energy yield models that can predict performance in different climates.
    • If partners have modules larger than 1m2, there are other testing programs at Sandia and NREL that may be of value. Contact the PACT leadership team for more details.

Partners

As of June 2025, PACT has received over 680 perovskite PV modules for testing from nine companies and seven research institutes. Some of these partners have agreed to be identified below. Partnerships with all of our partners allow PACT to test a wide range of perovskite and other emerging module technologies.
